Misconceptions about Drupad War

Many people of the idiotic human species called " Arjuna fans" claim that while Arjuna defeated Drupad, Karna was badly defeated by Drupad. This has gone viral and became a strong MISCONCEPTION. The fact is that when Karna faced Drupad, he defeated him in no time.

We're gonna expose this evil Arjun fans' conspiracy now.

Suryaputra Karna  NEVER went for guru dakshina of Drona.(its simple - Drona wasnt the guru of Karna). The karna who went for guru dakshina was another karna (Gandhari's son). There was one of the Kaurava whose name was Karna. As usual we will expose this along with proof.

THIS THREAD IS DIVIDED INTO 3 PARTS :

1) PRESENCE OF GANDHARI'S SON KARNA IN MAHABHARAT :

2) PRESENCE OF GANDHARI'S SON KARNA DURING DRUPAD WAR:

3) DEFEAT OF DRUPAD BY SURYAPUTRA KARNA & HIS SON VRISHASEN:

###Here, Note-( 16 ) It's a kaurava named Karna. So its first proof of presence of Karna (Gandhari's son) in mahabharat. So there were 2 Karnas - Surya-putra Karna and Gandhari's son Karna.

B) Bhima attacked on Gandhari's son Karna In Bhishma parv :

-Suryaputra Karna already took vow not to fight under commandership of bhishma. So, He did not fight in bhishma parv.

Parv - Bheeshma Parv

Section - LXXVII

Sacred-Text :
The mighty Bhima, beholding Dussasana and Durvisaha and Dussaha and Durmada and Jaya, and Jayasena and Vikarna and Chitrasena and Sudarsana, and Charuchitra and Suvarman and Duskarna and Karna, and many other mighty car-warriors, excited with rage, of the Dhartarashtra host near enough to himself, penetrated into (thy) mighty array that was protected by Bhishma in that battle.

http://sacred-texts.com/hin/m06/m06077.htm

From Sankrit version :

चारुचित्रं सुवर्माणं दुष्कर्णं कर्णम एव च
एतान अन्यांश च सुबहून समीपस्थान महारथान

Cārucitraṃ suvarmāṇaṃ duṣkarṇaṃ karṇam eva ca
etān anyāṃś ca subahūn samīpasthān mahārathān

http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/mbs/mbs06073.htm

###Here u can see it's clearly mentioned Bhima attacked on Gandhari's son Karna under commandership of Bhishma. Bcoz Suryaputra Karna already took vow not to fight under commandership of Bhishma, and indeed, he was never in the battle field when Bhisma was commander. So its clearly proves there was GANDHARI'S SON KARNA.
---------------------------------------
● PART-2 : PRESENCE OF GANDHARI'S SON KARNA IN DRUPAD WAR:

- Description of Gandhari son karna as Kshatriya princes while going to fight with drupad.

Sacred-Text:
smiting the Panchalas on their way, laid siege to the capital of the great Drupada. And Duryodhana and Karna and the mighty Yuyutsu, and Duhsasana and Vikarna and Jalasandha and Sulochana,--these and many other foremost of KSHTRIYA PRINCES of great prowess, vied with one another in becoming the foremost in the attack.

http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m01/m01141.htm

### Here, See they warriors who went for guru dakshina all were KASHTRIYA PRINCE.

It was Gandhri's son Karna who was kshtriya prince.bcoz Suryaputra Karna was SUTA by cast.(which everyone knows very well)

Moreover KMG never described Suryaputra Karna kshtriya prince. KMG always described Suryaputra Karna as "Suta son", "Adhiratha son", "Radha's son" "mighty bowman", "mighty bowman Karna" etc. Karna is described by the name Karna also, but very few times.

SO, ITS PROVED SURYAPUTRA KARNA NEVER WENT FOR GURU DAKSHINA. IT WAS ANOTHER KARNA (GANDHARI'S SON) WHO WENT FOR GURU DAKSHINA.
--------------------------------------

● PART-3 : DRUPAD DEFEATED BY SURYAPUTRA KARNA & HIS SON VRISHASEN:

1) Karna single-handedly defeated Draupad during his Digvijay ( Dig - World, Vijay - to Conquer):

Sacred-Text :
"Then, O bull among the Bharatas, that mighty bowman, Karna, surrounded by a large army, besieged the beautiful city of Drupada. And he, after a hard conflict, brought the hero under subjection, and, O best of monarchs, made Drupada contribute silver and gold and gems, and also pay tribute. And, O foremost of kings, having subdued him, (Karna) brought under subjection those princes that were under him (Drupada) and made them pay tribute. "

http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m03/m03252.htm

### Here, See during digvijay of Karna, Karna alone defeated Draupad easily whereas all 5 pandavas togetherly defeated draupad, but Karna alone destroyed draupad along with his whole army.

2) Vrishasen(Karna's son) easily defeated Draupad in Kurushetra War:

Sacred-Text :
" Taking, then, another gold-decked bow that was new and strong, and drawing out of his quiver a strong, whetted, well-tempered, sharp and broad-headed arrow, and fixing it on his string, and carefully aiming it-at Drupada, he let it off with great force, inspiring all the Somakas with fear. That arrow, piercing through the breast of Drupada, fell on the surface of the earth. The king (of the Panchalas), then, thus pierced through with Vrishasena's arrow, swooned away. His driver, then, recollecting his own duty, bore him away from the field"

http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m07/m07165.htm

### Leave Suryaputra karna, Drupad was even defeated by Vrishasen( Son of karna ). Vrishasen destroyed draupad totally & coward draupad ran away from battlefield.
--------------------------------------

SO, IT IS AS CLEAR AS WATER SURYAPUTRA KARNA NEVER WENT FOR GURU DAKSHINA. IT WAS GANDHARI'S SON KARNA WHO WENT FOR GURU DAKSHINA. NOT ONLY KARNA BUT ALSO KARNA'S SON VRISHASEN WAS SUPERIOR TO DRAUPAD.

  7. Who wrote Mahabharata ? if it was Veda Vyasa then Arjuna is the best archer.

    Read below:-
And careering over the field of battle like a fiery wheel, king Drupada with his arrows smote Duryodhana and Vikarna and even the mighty Karna and many other heroic princes and numberless warriors, and slaked their thirst for battle. Then all the citizens showered upon the Kurus various missiles like clouds showering rain-drops upon the earth. Young and old, they all rushed to battle, assailing the Kurus with vigour. The Kauravas, then, O Bharata, beholding the battle become frightful, broke and fled wailing towards the Pandavas.

  8. Next in Draupadi swayamvara, Arjuna broke karna's bow and defeated him.

Arjuna saved kauravas and karna from gandharva chitrasena.

IN MB battle, BHima defeated karna in bow-combat

Thus sped by the mighty Bhima, that shaft, making a noise loud as that of the thunder, pierced through thunderbolt Karna in that battle, like the thunderbolt itself piercing through a mountain. Struck by Bhimasena, O perpetuator of Kuru's race, the Suta's son, that commander (of thy forces), sat down senseless on the terrace of his car. The ruler of the Madras then, beholding the Suta's son deprived of his senses, bore that ornament of battle away on his car, from that fight. Then after Karna's defeat, Bhimasena began to rout the vast Dhartarashtra host like Indra routing the danavas.'"

Arjuna was defeated only by Lord Shiva (AS kirata murthi). He is incarnation of Nara maharshi, but Karna is previously a demon. Shame on boastful Karna and evil people of kaliyuga who support him

    1. Karna was not Drona's student why would he go to give Gurudakshina. It is clearly mentioned that the Kshatriya princes went to war.Even if you go by the translated versions Karna is referred mostly as the Suta's son/mighty bowman even during the Kurukshetra war.So this is clear it was not Karna who participated in the Drupad you can't trust the translated versions completely.Sanskrit is a rich language and it's accurate translation is not easy. While reading the ENGLISH KMG version I found "duty took his leave in a sentence".Any sane logical person would know that it should be "duly took his leave."Even after his Kavach Kundal were taken away Yudhishthir requested that if Karna asked Shalya as his charioteer then he should distract Karna.Yudhishthir was no fool he understood the threat which Karna posed. If you think he is fool then how could save his brothers from Yaksha?

    2. @Kaustav- Duryodhana relies on Karna. He will take him wherever he goes. There is no son of Dhritarashtra by name Karna.

In Mahabharata battle, Karna killed Abhimanyu from behind in chakravyuha. Arjuna killed Karna's son in front of Karna. Bhima was thrashing Karna in bow and arrow combat and Duryodhana sent his brothers to distract Bheema. Thus many of his younger brothers were killed saving Karna. Dhritarashtra was very angry on Karna when Sanjaya narrated the battle incidents to him

Because of Kali age influence you are supporting Karna who was Sahasrakavacha previously and hating noble Arjuna , best of all warriors... PITY

  10. Karna was not just the greatest Archer ever, he was also the greatest student, son, husband, father and friend, he was also one of the greatest ever humans for he held on to his commitments and words and gave up his life willingly in the most heroic manner fighting for his friend and without Krishna's help Arjuna or the whole of the Pandava Army were no match for him, Remember Karna never was defeated in battlefield, he was attacked when he was unarmed and Arjuna was ashamed of himself for being forced to attack and hesitated as Krishna yelled at him that an Armed Karna would never be defeated by any Man or God and hence this was his only chance of saving himself and his brothers and thus Arjuna acted out of sheer helplessness, yet, Karna still stood alive and the astonished Arjuna asked Krishna and Krishna told him that the hapless hypocrisy of kuntidevi, the deceit of Indra, the curse of Parasurama and Bhoomidevi and finally the betrayal of his cahrioteer Shalya and the disgraceful attack of Arjuna's bow are not enough to vanquish Karna as his Dharma and Satyadevi protected him, Karna would die only if he willingly sacrificed his life.. And thats what Karna did, not only did he spare the Pandavas in defence of his friend, he sacrificed his own life for the loyalty, If you can't accept or respect that, know that Karna never did anything wrong, yet he was always subjected to falsehood and oppression, yet, when the time came, he shined brighter than anyone and emerged as the greatest hero of not just Mahabharata but whole of humanity. Salute Danaveer, Shura Karna.

  11. Hello Souvik Das.
Do you even know what the heck you are talking about ??
Karna spared everyone and Krisna used deceit and Arjuna had to oblige because he know there was no way to defeat Karna in a proper war. No one on earth or in heaven could defeat Karna
That's why he is the greatest hero not just in Mahabharata but all of India for all times.
He is Daanveer, And the best example of Dharmapalana .. he fought with unmatched valour and courage and not even Krishna's deceit and cunning could kill him.. he was protected by The goddess of dharma and he was asked to voluntarily give up his life by his guru Parasuram and he attained moksh and was rewarded with the greatest honour to be remembered forever as the greatest hero that ever lived.. for his valour, strength, grace, courage, truth and righteousness and friendship and knowledge and power and everlasting impact on millions of Indians even now who admire and consider him the epitome of heroism and goodness.
